Character: Temari from Naruto Shippuden
Temari was my first real cosplay, and I love her so much that I’m still cosplaying her 5 years later (much improved, I think)! I even entered as her for my first cosplay competition, at Nan Desu Kan, in 2009. I’ve also done her second Shippuden version, and an original kimono version for her, but this version is one of my favorite designs. I originally roped my wonderful younger sister into being Gaara with me, but now she loves cosplaying as much as I do! For our Temari and Gaara photoshoot, we made a rather long trip to the Great Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado, the perfect place for sand ninja. It was windy as all get out, and we had sand blowing into our faces all day (my car even died), but we managed to get enough good shots to make it worthwhile.
