Susan Ginevra Jung: Katara from Avatar: The Last Airbender Cosplay

Comment: This is the very first costume that I’ve made. In the past, I’ve always done Bleach cosplays – namely Hinamori Momo (5th Squad Lieutenant), Nanao Ise (8th Squad Lieutenant), and going as far as crossdressing to do Jushiro Ukitake (13th Squad Captain). This year for AnimeNEXT convention, I decided to take a new direction with a different series. I made this costume out of scrubs, and to have easier access to a place where I can put my phone and other small necessary things away in, I didn’t remove the pocket from the pants when attaching it to the shirt. And since I had no leggings at home, I bought one for slightly cheap price, and since the shoes were winter shoes due to where Katara is originally from, I didn’t have access to buying a pair of shoes in time, so I used what I had at home – some furry slipper worn outside during late fall. The white belt came from my Bleach costume, but to say the least, the costume wasn’t all that bad when put together as well in the end.
