Comments: I hope you enjoy viewing this outfit as much as I did wearing it!
My friend introduced me to Xenosaga over Christmas and we decided to do matching cosplays for ACen 2013. Shion’s bustier and jacket are crafted from various crepe satins, gray flannel, and silver vinyl strips, thinly lined with cotton. Designing Shion’s poofs was quite a challenge, but some modified shoulder pads and batting keep the structure sturdy and lightweight.
Shion’s shorts are made from maroon denim, black twill straps, pink broadcloth, lycra, and reinforced gold satin (for decorative plates). Her stockings were also fashioned from a bit of black nylon and elastic. All jewelry is hand crafted, but Shion’s floating necklace was the most fun to create, requiring only a 10″ strip of boning and a hair straightener.
