Comments:
The Qipao was patterned by me with an old t-shirt I had laying around, and I altered it to of course make it look more qipao-ish. The way you can only wear the dress is by the frog clasps [the chinese yellow buttons], so it functions like the actual design of the dress. All the gold trim on the dress was hand sewn by me, and to get the curved tips, I would trim and fabric glue to have it keep it’s shape before sewing it down. The inside is as well lined with trim, and gold frogs to keep the elegant style of the qipao. Both the bull horns [the buns], and the wrap around the waist are made of a white brocade, and the waist wrap has a hidden zipper so it is fitted. The bull horns have both lace on the edges for that frilly look, and thin gold trim keeping honest to the design. Under  the dress, Chun li wears a high-cut one piece [monokini] which I made with the remaining fabric from making the qipao.  On the Bull horns, I have hair clips installed so that never fall out when I’m doing flips and stuff as seen in one photo; it’s very effective. The ribbon on the bull horns as well are tipped with gold to the design of Chun li.
The spiked bracelets were made by both myself and my friend of Vorpal props. They are resin cast and are hinged so I can open and close them easily, on the inside, there is a pin locking system, and for that fitted look I installed thin layers of foam to keep my wrists safe and make it seem true to Chun li’s design. It made it very hard to hug people though hahaha they are firm and can hurt if not careful.
The tights, I was fortunate to find in a store sale one day! And the earrings I had for a very long time.
The shoes, I bought many years ago from a kick boxing store, and I was fortunate to have left over white vinyl and metal fastenings for shoes, so I was able to alter the shoes with ease to make more accurate.
Since Chun li has a ‘Grrrr. I’m gonna beat you.’ expression, I did some make-up altering on my eyebrows and made them half length before extending upwards. Of course my own hair was used, aaaaaaand, I believe that about wraps it up on her!!
Thank you for stopping by~!
