This costume was such a labor of love. I worked on it for about 6 months. It was my first time ever for a lot of things, like making chainmail, a tunic, gauntlets, and a bracer.

I wound my own rings from brass wire around a homemade mandrel and connected them by hand to make the chainmail. It’s double looped, also known as an 8 in 2 or King’s Mail.

I also made iron boots for this. I wasn’t wearing them for this photoshoot, but you can see them here:

Also didn’t want to frighten the horse with a sword or shield, so used the Gale Boomerang instead.
