Jazqui: Hungary/ Elizaveta Héderváry from Axis Powers Hetalia Cosplay

Comments: This outfit took about a month to make, and is probably the nicest and most detailed thing I have to show. Seams are all finished. Any edges are burned to give it a more rugged look. The corset is fully lined with steel boning and hand-studded along the seams with lace and fur hand sewn to it. Armor and shield made of craft foam and buffed/painted and finished with a water and glue solution.  It laces up along the arm bracer and the back and front of the corset with leather lace, and the cape is tied with it as well. The necklace is repainted tooth-shaped beads restrung on fishing wire because nothing else was narrow enough to fit through them. Corset, skirt, and bracer are all made from moleskin. The white sleeve is made from linen. The cape and details are a slightly matted faux fur. I made the skirt come down to a little before mid-calf in the back and be pretty short in the front because I thought a more jagged look was kind of characteristic of this sort of costume. I’m REALLY pleased with the result. This costume is my new baby.
