Comments: A Sailor Senshi may seem like an easy task but unfortunately this one picture will not do my work justice. I didn’t just make this fuku, I made all nine Eternal Sailor Senshi cosplays for a group that debuted at AnimeNext. It was by far the hardest thing I’ve ever done considering I did most of the work without patterns and I hand bedazzled many of the accessories (86 rhinestones per star brooch, 160 for Moon’s, at least 300 per bun cover). I unexpectedly moved, got engaged, started wedding planning, all while making 9 detailed costumes AND holding rehearsals for a dance skit at least twice a month for 6 months. We also lost a member 2 months before showtime and so I spend every off weekend getting the new recruit caught up. Because of all that happened, I was on a time crunch and most of the sewing happened in the last 5-6 weeks. So there are a few details missing like boot and glove trims, but all of that will be finished by the end of the summer.I was even awake 48 hours to finish as much as I could, still managed to make it through the day, photos, the masquerade, AND won “Best Overall Craftsman” despite the exhaustion. It was an awesome way to end an awesome experience with an amazing group of dedicated girls.
