Comments: It took quite a while to make this costume. This is one of my favorite costumes that I’ve made, and the one that people seem to like the most. Materials include tafeta, cotton/ polyester, and lace…as well as probably other things I forgot to mention. The design online the skirt is silk and is attached with heat’n bond, then lined in gold fabric glue. The design on the chest is painted on.
This wig was easier to style than I thought it would be. I steam set the “curls” then sprayed them in place with hair spray. I attached the crown to the wig with a home made wire hair comb and saftey pins.
Crown made of foamies sheets and acrylic jewels. Brooch (in this image) is also acrylic. (I alternate which brooch I wear with this, my other one is cast resin)
