A Little About Me

Heyo! Some of you may know me as Kimba, Kim, or even Hungry(thanks to my Sasha tumblr account), and some of you may not know me at all! I am a California based cosplayer, now associated with both Crunchyroll and Geeklurv. I pretend to be a professional but really just get emotional about fictional characters not making out. LOL I'm so happy to have made it this far, thank you everyone who voted for me and plans to vote again! :D Cosplay is such a huge part of my life and I hope it can continue to be in the years to come. I'm always eager to meet new people and try new things and I'm so glad when people enjoy my work. Thanks again!

Description: Costume was bought from Cossky and worn as part of Crunchyroll's AX promotion of Attack on Titan. I've since remade a few pieces of the costume to better fit. The 3dmg was made by me and was my first real attempt at large props. They are made fully of craft foam, foam core poster board, some soda bottles, and lots of hot glue!

Description: This costume was such a labor of love. I've clocked in over 250 hours putting it together. Over 2000 feathers were bought, recolored by me, cut in half, and reshaped to be attacked to the base bodysuit in the correct gradient. The wings have a wire base are covered in an iridescent cellophane, they attach to the costume by a harness underneath the bodysuit(also my first time making a harness, much thanks to my friend for helping me out!). I love wearing the costume for the reaction I get from people, but it's a hassle to wear due to my limited turn radius! ha

Description: Original steampunk design by micaella.tumblr.com I used my original Flame Princess wig, made using a base wig, tulle and cellophane in yellow, orange, and red, and a ton of hair spray. Full costume including bustle, spats,"corset," blouse, cuff, shirt ruffle, arm band, arm socks, and garter were all made by me. Backpack was made with assistance of my father and decorated by a friend and myself. All accessories on the backpack were found around the house or scavenged from children's toys from a thrift store. Body paint is ben nye applied in 2-3 layers and sealed. I used to be scared of body paint but cosplaying Flame Princess made me comfortable and confident in my skills in applying it.
