A Little About Me

Hi there! I'm TwinAlchemist or Brit. I'm not quite sure what to say... but definitely THANK YOU to all who voted for me. I greatly appreciate every single one of you. I thought I was shooting in the dark with my Traveler cosplay because I didn't know how many people knew about Journey. I guess this proves that there are more of you out there than I thought! Thank you again! I can't wait to get started on my next project. I'm not the fastest when it comes to cosplay as I like to enjoy the ride and make sure I'm doing things to the best of my ability. But I hope in time as I learn new skills I'll be able to create costumes I've dreamed about for years.

Description: The Last of Us is such a jewel. I'm not a huge fan of survival horror games but for some reason I ended up watching my twin play the first 10 minutes and I was hooked. This cosplay took the least amount of time to make but required so much prep work! The blood / make up was extremely fun because I got to experiment and do things out of my element. And besides, who doesn't like ripping up clothes and rolling around in the dirt? The blood was mainly chocolate too so it was quite tasty.

Description: Ed was my first official cosplay. The series will always hold a special place in my heart as I can relate a lot with Ed and his relationship with Alphonse. My twin and I are pretty much inseparable. I wanted to pay tribute to that brotherly bond. This was my first time sewing and I must thank my Mom for being so patient and helping me learn the basics. When it was finished after so many frustrating instances it was then I realized just how much I wanted to continue cosplaying. Being in character, having the satisfaction of knowing you made something purely out of love is more than I can describe. This is actually a frame from a cosplay video I made about a year ago.

Description: Kairi is my newest cosplay to date! I was able to finish her just before the Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix release. She has been a dream cosplay since playing Kingdom Hearts years ago. The hardest part was her shoes as I wanted them to be proportionally accurate. I definitely think I succeeded but sadly I don't have a decent photo of them. But you can see them on my facebook or tumblr. :] I certainly learned a lot with her even though it looks like a simple cosplay. The skirt was certainly a challenge. Zippers are fun!
