Alex Rogue: Daenerys Targaryen from Game of Thrones Cosplay

Character Name: Daenerys Targaryen

Comments: Daenerys is my favorite character. She’s all I’ve ever wanted to be. By cosplaying her, I hope to transform a bit into the Mother of Dragons. The most elevating moment from Game of Thrones was the ending scene of Season 1 when Dany just walked into the fire. Therefore I chose that outfit to be my very first Daenerys-cosplay. (There’ll be more to follow in the future – I’d like to create all of her outfits from the show.) The gown wasn’t that difficult to sew, yet I spent 4 days on my braids. The armbands are actually not present in the scene where Dany’s wearing this dress – but they sort of belong to it. (She has them on when she’s first seen in this dress at her wedding.) That’s why I decided to put them on. Apart from that, I tried to be as accurate to the original as possible. Note that I know this is not the most outstanding costume here. I just wanted to use this method as well to let people know that this is not Emilia Clarke in this picture. This is just me. Or Daenerys. :)
