A Little About Me

Hello everyone! This is GirlintheWater speaking and I am super excited that I got into the finals^_^. Before I spazz out again, I am currently a Art Student (Graphic Design) in the making so it goes hand and hand in cosplay making and a Youtuber (with the same name) that does funky video tutorials. A big gamer since I was young, I love Nintendo, Level-5, and Final Fantasy games. It feels awesome to be ranked with the best cosplayers and I thank you guys for the voting me!

Description: Most intricate cosplay I've ever done. First time making cosplay armor and weapons....with resin coating. The majority of the gems are resin casted by me. Dress is made of silk and purple vest is from stretch jersey. The glyphs on the vest was painstakingly handwritten in fabric paint. The Light Bow and Arrows are my crowning glory of this work. The only complaint is transporting it to cars and through doorways.

Description: Ever since I played the Final Fantasy series, X-2 was a different approach to the iconic series with girl power. Yuna is my 2nd favorite Final Fantasy character ever- she's adorable, curious and can kick some major butt in X-2. This is my first serious cosplay to be drafted from scratch and it was worth it. The best part is the skirt since I used natural crinkle cotton and hand dyed it. The other parts are made from cotton blends. Also, the pendant is the official one from SquareEnix store.

Description: For a second cosplay, this has got to be the comfiest of cosplays so far in my experience. This one I went with a pseudo-authentic traditional Japanese feel to this cosplay. The sleeves I based from actual Japanese furisode sleeves just like Tetsuya Nomura wanted to. The skirt is my favorite to construct cause I hand-painted the flowery vines even inside the pleats. The Obi belt is made from textured cotton weave that's been hand-painted. All the beads on this costume are made of clay by me.
