A Little About Me

Hi, I'm lordVOMITface and thank you for taking a look at my work. Also, thank you to everyone who has helped me become a finalist in this competition. I'm sure you can tell that my cosplays don't look as exquisite as many others, but I really do put a lot of effort into my work. I worry about all the little details and always try my best to get in character.

Description: To be honest, this cosplay was insanely painful to wear, but totally worth it. Found the TV on Kijiji, picked it up and found out it was the heaviest thing in the entire worlddd. After struggling to bring it home, I managed to disassemble it with my dad’s help. We attached a wooden board with wheels to the bottom so that I could roll around in it at conventions! ;D Found the dress + wig downtown and just played around with the makeup until it sort of worked :)

Description: Misa Amane was the first character I ever cosplayed and that was about 3 years ago (the pictures I’ve submitted are revised versions from 2012). All of the stuff was pretty much put together overnight (LOL) for Anime North. I took a wig I already had, cut it as was needed, ripped up a sweater, sewed on zippers, made a belt with DVDs…… yeah you get the idea. xD

Description: Also another overnight cosplay (oh god I’m so lazy, please forgive me) OTL… But clearly I just grabbed anything I had in my closet and put it together. The hair accessories were made of black ribbon, I left out some of my own hair for the bangs, put on long blonde ponytail clips from Ardene, and the rest is fairly self-explanatory! Despite the rushed job, I still believe this to be one of my favourite characters so I absolutely loved wearing the costume. I miss it very much too… :(
