Samm Mielach: Suicune from Pokémon Cosplay

Comments : While this cosplay is one of the simpler ensembles I’ve created, I believe it’s the one I’m proud of the most. Suicune has always been one of my favorite Pokémon and Pokémon Crystal was my favorite version. Since I’m part of a cosplay group of three, doing a group cosplay of the three legendary dogs appealed to us!
We each designed our own original warrior Gijinka version of our Pokémon. For Suicune, I drew my inspiration from the goddess Artemis. I created the entire cosplay myself, with the exception of the shoes, which I found online and modified slightly. The dress is made out of suede, felt and spandex, the pauldrons and headpiece are made of insulation foam, and the bow was made with an authentic schooling bow sandwiched carefully between two pieces of insulation foam. The shoes are quite difficult to walk in, but it’s worth wearing this cosplay! Suicune was debuted at Katsucon 18.
