I absolutely adore Asami Sato, and cosplaying her was an absolute dream. I had so much fun portraying her and I already have an equalist glove in the making for the next time I attempt to cosplay her!
(Just a paragraph of me blabbing on about why I love Asami) Asami starts off as a foil to Korra, dating Mako and being feminine with apparently everything handed to her on a silver platter as opposed to Korra who is more of a tomboy and has had to train for years, Asami proves her worth as more than just a side character. Despite being persuaded by her own father to join the equalists, she puts her faith into her group of friends , knowing that their cause is for justice. Instead of being the “pretty rich girl” she is initially made out to be, she shows true generosity and kindness when she willingly funds the Fire Ferrets and agrees to join Team Korra in their investigations. Being the only non-bender in Team Uh-vatar as well shows that her intention to fight against the equalists was completely out of justice and for the greater good instead of personal biasness.
